John, of Hewitt, worked in the Village's Shade Tree Division since 2021, records show. His obituary on the Vander Plaat Vermeulen website says:
Known for his strong sense of family and unwavering support for his loved ones, John was a pillar of his community, always ready with a helping hand and a friendly word. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was a man of integrity, humor, and love who will be remembered for his warmth and his dedication to his family.
John is survived by his wife, Maggie Quinn (née Frey); and daughter, Peyton. mother, Margaret Quinn (née Shannon); brother, Matthew; sister, Amanda; in-laws, Katie Frey (Jimmy Muller), Kasey Frey (William Pinsdorf), Emily Costello (the late Luke Frey); mother-in-law Joan Frey; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, colleagues, and other loved ones. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Quinn.
Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Colonial Home in Fair Lawn. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 at the funeral home, followed by the funeral at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
